The pools close 15 minutes before the centre closes.
Do I have to watch my child in the water?
Yes. It's best to bring your swimmers and jump in and enjoy the day with the family and friends.
Specifically, an adult must be in the water within arm's reach with children aged 0-5 years.
Close by and constantly watching aged 6-10 years and maintain visual contact with 11-14 year olds.

Do I need to provide ID even if I am a causal visitor?
Yes, all individuals aged fifteen (15) years and over are required to have an active profile. A photograph will be taken at reception and government-issued identification must be presented upon request for verification purposes. Council reserves the right to refuse entry where satisfactory identification is not produced or where misuse of a pass is reasonably suspected.
Are all pools heated?
Yes! All our pools are heated year-round. Our 50m Outdoor pools are heated to 26-27 degrees and our indoor 25m pools are heated to 32-33 degrees.
At what age can my child enter the facility without an adult?
Children aged 15 years and older can enter the facility without an adult, provided they can present valid photo ID to prove their age.
Are children aged 15 and older allowed into the facility by themselves during school hours?
A child aged 17 years and under that is still attending secondary school is only allowed into the facility during school hours within the school term under the following circumstances:
- They are with a parent or guardian aged 18 and over
- They have a signed permission slip from the school or a parent / guardian allowing them to enter the facility
- They have written consent from the school or a parent / guardian allowing them to enter the facility

Do the facilities remain open during poor weather?
Our facilities will remain open during poor weather, unless deemed unsafe by management. Facilities will close if lightning is detected in the area and will remain closed for at least 30 minutes from the most recent detected lightning strike. Other circumstances in which the facility may close due to unforeseen events include but are not limited to poor lighting, poor air quality and water contamination.
Swim School
Do lessons run on school terms?
Our classes run continuously from January to December, including throughout school holidays, ensuring students maintain momentum and continue developing their skills year-round.
Studies show that ongoing, uninterrupted learning is one of the most effective ways for students to achieve lasting improvement and reach their full potential.
Do you offer make-up lessons?
Yes, CB Swim Members are entitled to 12 make-up lessons per year.
What if the class I want is unavailable?
If the class you are interested in is currently unavailable, a member of our Swim School team will contact you to discuss alternative options. This may include offering a suitable class on a different day or time or adding you to the waitlist for a place in your preferred class.
Can I pay upfront for CB Swim Membership?
We do not accept upfront payment for the CB Swim Membership. Payments are made via direct debit fortnightly.
What ages does the CB Swim Program cater to?
Our CB Swim Program caters to children 6 months and older to adults.
Can we swim outside of lesson time?
Yes! The CB Swim Membership includes unlimited pool access to our facilities. Please note additional adults/children will need to pay normal swim entry fees.
Do you accept Active Kids?
Yes, Canterbury-Bankstown Leisure & Aquatics is a registered Active Kids provider.
Do I need to supervise my child/ren during their lessons?
Yes, parents or guardians are required to remain within the Canterbury-Bankstown Leisure & Aquatics centre while their child participates in the CB Swim Program.
Canterbury-Bankstown Leisure & Aquatics is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all children. To help ensure the safety and wellbeing of young participants, parents and guardians are expected to actively supervise their children at all times when they are in the centre, both before and after their lesson.
Do you offer women's only lessons?
Yes, we offer women's only lessons, please contact our staff for availability.
Are lessons held during public holidays?
No, CB Swim lessons are not held on public holidays.
Golf
Do I need to book in advance?
Bookings are recommended, especially during weekends, public holidays, and peak periods. Please contact the clubhouse to secure your preferred tee time.
How long does a round take?
An 18-hole round typically takes around 3 hours, making it perfect for golfers looking for a quick and enjoyable game.
Can beginners play at Sefton Golf Course?
Absolutely. The course is designed to be welcoming for beginners while still providing an enjoyable challenge for more experienced golfers.
Do you have golf carts available?
Yes, golf carts are available, subject to weather and course conditions.
Do you offer equipment hire?
Yes, please contact the clubhouse for current club hire and equipment rental options.
Is there a pro shop onsite?
Yes, the clubhouse includes a merchandise shop with golfing essentials and accessories.
Can I purchase food and drink at the course?
Yes, a kiosk is available for snacks and refreshments.
Can I host a group or corporate golf day?
Yes, group bookings and golf days can be arranged. Please contact our team to discuss your requirements.
Can spectators come to the course?
For safety reasons, spectators are not permitted on the course during play.
